Sneak Peeks: Titles Shipping 3.12.08 (Part II)

Picking up where we left off from the last post, here are some more peeks at The Last Defenders #1, Mighty Avengers #10, New Exiles #3, Nova #11, and Thunderbolts #119. If there's anything here you'd like to talk about, stop by the Marvel Noise forum and let your voice be heard!

The Last Defenders #1
By Joe Casey (plotter/writer), Keith Giffen (plotter/breakdowns), Jim Muniz (pencils), and Cam Smith (inks)

Mighty Avengers #10
By "Boastful" Brian Bendis (writer), "Mighty" Mark Bagley (pencils), and "Devilish" Danny Miki & Amorphous Allen Martinex (inkers)

New Exiles #3
By Chris Claremont (writer), Tom Grummett (pencils), and Scott Hanna (inker)

Nova #11
By Dan Abnett & Andy Lanning (writers), Paul Pelletier (pencils), and Rick Magyar (inks)

Thunderbolts #119
By Warren Ellis (writer) and Mike Deodato, Jr. (art)

Initial thoughts:

The Last Defenders is off to a great start. I'm along for this ride. If more comics were presented the way Mighty Avengers #10 is presented it would be a much better world. I was giddy when I saw Tom Orzechowski's name as the letterer of a Chris Claremont-written comic. And the team of Grummett and Hanna isn't anything to sneeze at. Nova continues to kick ass, and I'm glad Pelletier and Magyar are working on a book I enjoy. Thunderbolts is still just outside my grasp, but something I plan on reading one of these days.
