Review: Invincible Iron Man #3

Tony Stark’s world is crumbling around him… literally. Suicide bombers around the world have been using his own Iron Man technology to kill hundreds of innocent civilians. And now, bombers have detonated at a gala charity event at the new Starkdynamics Tower in Taiwan, destroying part of the tower and leaving Stark's secretary, Pepper Potts, in critical condition. While trying to search for clues in the tower’s debris, Iron Man is attacked by an updated version of his old foes, the Raiders, in an attempt by the Chinese government to gain access to some of Stark’s technology located in the tower. And to top everything off, the son of one his greatest foes has made it his personal mission to see Tony Stark dead. Will Tony be able to solve the mystery of the suicide bombers and save the life of his trusted secretary? Or are things just starting to heat up for our favorite ironclad Avenger?

Writer Matt Fraction (Immortal Iron Fist) and artist Salvador Larroca (The Amazing Spider-Man) continue their red hot run in issue three of this incredible new series! Fraction offers up some really great dialog and internal monologues that keeps things entertaining while delivering a jam packed story that truly gives the reader their money’s worth. Plus, Larroca definitely seems to be bringing his A game with this book. Fans of Robotech will appreciate his apparent nod to the series in the form of the redesigned Raiders. This book is really starting to click on all levels. If you have yet to pick up the Invincible Iron Man, don’t wait any longer! This book is too hot to miss!
